Choosing the right process

Hot Water vs. Cold Water Pressure Washing

Why heat, flow, pressure and treatment should be selected for the soil and surface—not marketed as one magic setting.

Cold water can handle loose soil and many everyday exterior-cleaning needs. Hot water becomes especially valuable for grease, oil, gum and food-service residue because heat helps loosen contaminants before rinsing.

Where hot water earns its keep

Restaurants, dumpster areas, parking structures, service bays and automotive residue often benefit from heat when the surface and site allow it.

Why flow matters too

High water volume can move loosened soil efficiently and may reduce the need for destructive pressure on asphalt or aging surfaces.

Chemistry is part of the system

Pretreatment and dwell time can do more useful work than simply increasing pressure. Products must still be compatible with the material and surroundings.

The surface decides

Paint, stucco, coatings, pavers, asphalt, concrete and specialty finishes do not respond the same way. Inspection comes before settings.
